Jackson Hole is truly "Further Away" as the saying goes. However, this does not mean that Jackson Hole is difficult to get to for your winter vacation. There are many flights directly into the Jackson Airport from five major carriers. The Jackson airport is also the only airport in United States located within a National Park. If you are flying into the valley, be sure to get a window seat!
Other ways of getting to Jackson Hole include flying into the Idaho Falls Airport in Idaho, just 90 miles away. Flights into Idaho Falls Airport are serviced by Skywest and Horizon and can be sometimes be considerably cheaper than flying into Jackson Hole. Additionally, there is a daily shuttle service available from Idaho Falls to Jackson Hole.
You may also choose to fly into Salt Lake City Airport in Utah and rent a car or take the daily shuttle . The drive to Jackson Hole from Salt Lake City takes about five hours, and varies according to weather and road conditions. Detailed driving directions are available, or see Mapquest.
